great information resource

Yesterday, I discovered an interesting resource which may be helpful for almost anyone, but especially teachers and students.  Pete and Pam Wright's blog, The Wrightslaw Way, extolled the virtues of The Special Education Law Blog, written by Chicago area special education lawyer, Charlie Fox.  The Wrights are right, Charlie's blog is a fund of information for parents and advocates.

However, among the other gems, I found this resource which, as Charlie says, may be useful for "students who have difficulties with things like slang and parents who need a ready reference on history and other academic topics."

Laura Milligan starts her compilation of "100 Unbelievably Useful Reference Sites You've Never Heard Of" with the following advice:

"Beyond Google, Wikipedia and other generic reference sites, the Internet boasts a multitude of search engines, dictionaries, reference desks and databases that have organized and archived information for quick and easy searches. In this list, we’ve compiled just 100 of our favorites, for teachers, students, hypochondriacs, procrastinators, bookworms, sports nuts and more."
